Hi folks,
Just bought 10 Acres and am looking at what size tractor I would need for it and my hunting. Will use the tractor on the 10 Acres for small garden and mowing. At the hunting club will use to to create food plot's and mowing. Would like tractor to be able to support both Bushhog Mower and Mid Mount Mower, as well as Disc.
Any idea what will be best and what I could expect to pay?

My recomendation is something around 30 HP PTO, mostly for BH and Disks. They are small enough to mow the lawn but large enough to mow in the trees. There are a number of tractor new in this range NH TC33 or TC35, JD 4310, Kioti DK35, Kubota L3000. I am sure there are a number used but few in the grey market (Japanese tractors not supported by US distributorships)tractors. Depending on your terraine you msy consider 2 wheel drive to save costs. I get this depends on whether you will need a FEL in the future. ....

I agree with Peters, 30 hp give or take a pony, would be a good start. The sizes he mentioned would be what I would recomend.
Guess it depends on the price and the dealership in your area to help you with the rest of the desision. ....

I've got to go with Peters on the 30 hp mid size tractors also. My recomendation would be a New Holland TC29/TC30 or TC33. ....
